Indications: allergy related nasal congestion, cough, sleep obstruction
Anaesthetic time: 40 mins
Can be combined with adenoidectomy or septoplasty
Overnight stay usually; one parent is allowed to stay
Back to school: usually 1 week after operation
Medications on discharge:
- Pain relief – paracetamol/ ibuprofen
- Oral antibiotics
- Nasal saline flush
Follow-up appointment: usually 2 weeks after operation
